We started Flaxmere House a little over 11 years because both my husband Dallas and I love entertaining and cooking (he's the king of the smoked meats we've become quite known for 🤭).

Let's just say the apple didn't fall far from the tree because our son Leigh is a talented chef himself. He moved home from the Gold Coast to pour is passion into our other family business Coast2Coast - catering and events in the Auckland & Kaipara area.

Most days you'll find Leigh holding down the fort at our Coast2Coast food truck, which has been parked up on our family batch at 14 Wood St, Mangawhai Heads since Christmas. Everyone has been loving the food and we're really proud of how hard he (and all of the team up there) have been working!

Flaxmere House sleeps up to 20 people across 9 rooms. We have cleverly designed beds that can be pulled apart or combined to create sleeping arrangements to best suit your needs.
