Do your own project or join in with hand stitching or machining quilts from the community effort at the Auckland Art Gallery
Last November, help us complete some quilts for the Auckland City Mission.
Bring your own machine, sewing supplies, a mug and your lunch.

At our May meeting I spotted
Janet Danks working on her Caswell quilt. It's nearly finished and I cant wait to see it completed, its so beautiful

At our May meeting on Saturday, our Merchant was Lou from All Things Bernina
She had lots of goodies!
We have a visiting Merchant at our of our meetings, its a great way of seeing whats new and exciting!

Today is Anzac day. This amazing quilt was made by Annie White and is called "the road home"
Made for a Dorothy Collard Challenge a few years back.

One of our members was using this fabulous
1950's featherweight sewing machine at our open sewing weekend a few weeks ago.
Isn't it great to still see these old machines in use? Do you sew on a vintage machine?

We had another great day at the Guild meeting today, there was a sweet furry boy, Hone, who came with his trainer. He is undergoing training for the Blind Foundation. There were lots of donations for community quilts. And of course we all caught up with our sewing friends and had a good gossip.

We had a great time at the free open weekend at the Onehunga Community House. There were lots of different projects sewn, they were all admired, opinions were asked (and given!) There was lots of laughter and chatting. A fantastic way to spend a weekend sewing with friends!

We would love to see you on our free open days this weekend.
Bring your own machine and project. If you want to catch up with the Mystery quilt, we will have people there to help if you need it. (We are looking forward to seeing everyone's blocks so far)
Tea and coffee will be available, don't forget to bring your own cup and your lunch.
Come for a couple of hours or for the weekend!

Our first meeting for the year is this Saturday,
Joy Wiseman will be talking to us about her quilting journey and will show us some of her beautiful quilts, some of which are experimental abd may require tweaking!
Don't forget to bring your library books, cash for tea, coffee, raffles and lunch.

Mystery quilters; the Mystery quilt support team will be there to help or answer questions.
Bring your blocks, we would love to see them.
No registration required and is open to non members so bring a friend.
