๐ Big update for International Students in NZ
New and updated Post-Study Work Visa options, creating more flexible pathways for graduates to stay, work and build their careers after completing their studies.
๐น A new Short-Term Graduate Work Visa will be introduced, allowing eligible graduates to stay in New Zealand for up to 6 months with open work rights.
๐น The Post-Study Work Visa (PSWV) eligibility has also been expanded. From late 2026, graduates completing a Level 7 Graduate Diploma will now be eligible, provided they also hold a Bachelorโs degree (from New Zealand or overseas).
๐น These changes provide greater flexibility, more opportunities, and a clearer pathway toward long-term career and residency goals in New Zealand.
