Creature Post
Creature Post is a multi-disciplinary creative studio based in Tāmaki Makaurau, New Zealand.
Our clients include advertising agencies, brand direct, production companies, museums and galleries, and live event installations. Creative chameleons, compulsive collaborators, our aim is to create and craft innovative, beautiful and exciting work. We spend work days (and some nights) in a character filled studio based in Ponsonby. We love having clients to work with us in our space, but we are equally equipped for remote work of any scale.
Such a great activation to be a part of for a second time. Again!

Escaping Utopia - documentary title sequence is a finalist for Best.
Working closely with Mike Davison,
our goal was to capture the isolation and distortion felt by residents of the Gloriavale community, and set the tone for the series with a visually striking, hauntingly memorable opening.
Using the panelled glass found in institutional doors, we developed a treatment that conceals, contains and distorts.
Instead of relying on digital effects, we built a full analogue rig with glass panels, a laser-cut 3D typographic model, and cast member from the series. The result is a mesmerising sequence of organic aberrations—an opening that is as unsettling as it is beautiful.
The hero still image was also used for key artwork throughout.
