Pink Shirt Friday – Standing Up, Standing Strong

Today our ESS team proudly wore pink buffs in support of Pink Shirt Friday — taking a stand against bullying and promoting kindness, respect, and inclusion across our worksites and beyond.

In a tough industry like scaffolding, it’s important to show that strength also comes from supporting one another, building each other up, and creating a culture where everyone feels safe and valued.

We wrapped up the day with a BBQ and toolbox talk back at the yard — taking time to connect, reflect, and reinforce the message: we’ve got each other’s backs, on and off the scaffold.

Team, safety, and recognition—it’s what brings us together!

While we hold weekly toolbox talks across all our sites, once a month we bring everyone together at HQ for a deeper, company-wide toolbox session, followed by a BBQ to relax and reconnect.

It’s also when we celebrate our Employee of the Month—this month, we’re proud to recognize Gerome for his outstanding dedication in supporting cross-functional teams, progressing in his scaffolding career, and earning consistent praise from colleagues and managers. Well done, Gerome!

All our scaffolds start with a client requiring a safe solution to enable works. We then work with our client to design a scaffold to their exact needs and in some cases like this, the structure. Once we have designed and planned a method of works our skilled team of professional scaffolders bring hours of planning to life.
