The Home of Great Kiwi Baking Creative Edge Food Company Ltd is a privately owned wholesale bakery servicing businesses throughout the Auckland region.

We specialise in handcrafted cakes, loaves, muffins, scones, tarts, cupcakes, brioche and other bakery items including a special dietary requirement range and non gluten. Our products are baked daily to order and wherever possible we try to use New Zealand ingredients. Our customers are cafes, restaurants, hotels, caterers and corporate clients.

The Baker's Role is a "hands on role" full of variety and challenges, while being well supported by the management team. The ideal candidate shall carry a high level of responsibility for the performance of the department in terms of food safety, labour, wastage, yield, quality, safety, customer service and will be expected to help implement change, be motivated and help their team to meet varied production expectations.

Scratch baking skills and have reliable transport is a must.

We are interested in candidates who have food and bakery manufacturing experience. Someone who has demonstrated determination in order to help meet the goals of a business and who set and achieve high standards of performance for themselves and who help those around them.

This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face.

We are looking to hire a skilled Caker to ice and finish a variety of cakes, cupcakes, tarts muffins etc. You must have proven commercial and preferably wholesale experience. Or be able to demonstrate such. Cake writing skills are a bonus.

The Cake Decorator's responsibilities include recording instructions and special requests and packaging bakery items. You should also be able to store all bakery products in accordance with proper product handling procedures to ensure freshness and prevent contamination.

To be successful as a Cake Decorator, you should keep abreast of the latest styles, techniques, and trends in cake decoration. Ultimately, a top-notch Cake Decorator should be able to demonstrate creativity, and attention to detail.

Cake Decorator Responsibilities:
Designing and decorating cakes according to specifications.
Decorating regular bakery items according to established bakery standards.
Assisting baking staff with the production of standard bakery items.
Producing different kinds of icing, frosting, and cake fillings based on cake type and customer preferences.
Taking inventory of baking and decorating supplies and ensuring stock is maintained
Cleaning and sanitizing all work areas and ovens as well as baking and decorating equipment.
Cake Decorator Requirements:
Proven baking and cake decorating experience.
The ability to use various cake decorating instruments and tools.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Detail-oriented.
Artistic and creative.
Basic numeracy skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Effective communication skills.

About the business and the role:

Creative Edge Food Company is an established, market leading, wholesale bakery selling high quality baked goods, baked daily and delivered throughout the North Island.

This is a fast-paced role where you will provide high level administrative, as well as working in the customer service team to support our customers. No two days will be the same and you will be involved in many aspects of the business and make the role your own!

Hours of Operation 9am-6pm Monday to Friday and 12pm to 6pm Sundays. You would need to be available during those hours and days to be considered.

Job tasks and responsibilities
• Helping customers place there daily orders
• Supporting customers in growth and product knowledge
• Assistance with key account projects
• Assistance in some AP and AR work
• Maintaining and tracking of orders and stock movements
• Maintaining accurate data in ERP/Accredo/Mountain Stream (training is provided)
• General office filing and duties
• Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
• Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
• Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

Skills and experience
We're looking for someone energetic, driven and dynamic to join our small and amazing sales & administration team.

Is this you?
• An Upbeat and Motivated Attitude
• Problem solving not problem creating! We like if you are proactive and look for solutions.
• Ideally you will have worked with ERPs such as SAP/Accredo Software or similar
• Have knowledge in all Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Social Media and regular media content creation and publishing
• Knowledge of FCP and HACCP is an advantage but a can do attitude and willingness to learn is just as good.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters discreetly and diplomatically
• A team player who can also work unsupervised
• Attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills
• A friendly clear phone manner and email manner

Where possible, we use New Zealand grown or sourced ingredients to ensure our products are of the highest standard.

We are looking for a amazing team member to join a great team of NIGHT PACKERS!

This role would suit someone looking for a night role starting round 7pm and finishing around 3am with just between 10-28 hours per week (part-time) or 30+ full-time.

The successful applicant must have:
• Someone who is Upbeat and Motivated
• Someone who understands a High Level of Food Safety Standards & Handling - We do provide training
• Someone who is reliable
• Someone who can work unsupervised and within a team.
• Someone who can follow instruction
• Knowledge of FSP and HACCP is an advantage but a can do attitude and willingness to learn is just as good.

The role is a part time/or full time permanent position from 7pm to 1am (start time can vary) and starting immediate.

You must have transportation as there is no public transport at 1am!
