Job Opportunity: Yard hand & Small Digger/Loader Operator /

We operate a 7-day-a-week recycling center, skip business, reuse shop, and landscape supply yard, all dedicated to diverting waste and promoting sustainability in our community.
We're looking for a motivated operator to handle yard duties and operate our small digger/ loader.
What you'll do:
* Assist with general yard operations, bagging landscape supplies, sorting and organising incoming resources, waste, and donations.
* Provide excellent customer service in the yard and at the weighbridge/ reuse shop.
* Operate our small digger and loader efficiently and safely.
* Contribute to our environmentally focused operations.
What you'll bring:
* The ability to handle physically demanding work outdoors in all weather is a must.
* Experience operating small digger/ loader would be a bonus.
* Ability to drive manual (preferred)
* A strong environmental focus and passion for sustainability.
* Team player attitude.
The Details:
* Part-time: 1 to 3 days a week (negotiable), with potential for additional days as required.
* Immediate start available.

Cashless experiment.
Cash sales make up a small portion of our sales but cash handling takes up alot of time. Every dollar we spend on administration is a dollar less we can donate.
For 3 months from the 1st of June we will be going cashless.
During this time there will be no exceptions so please come prepared to pay by card or phone.
NO SURCHARGE FOR CARD PAYMENTS
Customers are welcome to discuss this trial with Richard on-site.

Introduction of a Fuel Adjustment Factor

We have tried to absorb the current spike in fuel prices but we are getting hit with additional charges from all suppliers of services, as much as 15% in some cases.
From Monday the 18th May we will be charging a Fuel Adjustment Factor to all sales of an additional 5% of the sale price.

This will be reviewed fortnightly with reference to the MBIE index, and will change as fuel prices rise and fall.
