A well deserved shoutout coming out of Palmerston North, for one of our security officers - Joe!

Joe joined the team in January and has not looked back. He works across both Palmerston North City Council and Ministry of Social Development NZ sites.

And clients on both sides have been quick to point out the same thing - Joe is easy to work with and someone who handles the tougher moments of security well.

A recent incident in The Square outside the council building showed Joe at his best. A gang confrontation that could have escalated quickly was brought back under control thanks largely to the way Joe positioned himself and managed the situation.

Palmerston North City Council presented him with a token of appreciation for the work he did that day, and it is well deserved!

Thanks for all of your hard work Joe!

Our Rio Tinto Contract Manager Grant Gutschlag and Health & Wellness Manager Dave Cheyne headed over to Vancouver to complete some valuable training in their roles.

While in Vancouver they both took the chance to spend time with our Canadian management Ashley Meehan and Alliance Security team on the ground at the Cloverdale Rodeo, one of the biggest events on the British Columbia calendar.

A great opportunity to see how the Canadian division operates an event of that scale, learn more about the services delivered across the border and bring back useful initiatives for the NZ operation.

Plenty for both Grant and Dave to take away from the trip and a great example of the value of cross border collaboration within the wider Allied Security network!

Receiving feedback like this is a regular occurrence for the Health NZ – Waitaha Canterbury team.

They handle some of the toughest interactions you can imagine in a healthcare setting, and they do it with a level of empathy and professionalism that has earned them a reputation across the hospital and the wider community.

That is what great healthcare security looks like, and it’s credit to our fantastic frontline team!

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora

The Blenheim and Tasman team were on duty at the Prime Minister's public meeting last week at Marlborough Events Centre.

It was an important event for the community and a memorable one for our local team, who had the chance to meet the Prime Minister Christopher Luxon directly on the day.

This was a meaningful moment of recognition for our team and a reminder that the work they put into events like this is always appreciated!

More than 132,000 visitors over four days. 1,100 exhibitor stalls. The largest opening day in recent history!

By every measure Fieldays at Mystery Creek this year was a benchmark moment for New Zealand's biggest event on the rural calendar!

We have been the proud official security provider at Fieldays since 2017 and many of the frontline team on site this year were the same people who worked the very first event back at day one.

That experience makes an enormous difference to how a week of this scale runs.

When the numbers climb the way they did this year, having a team that already knows every part of the operation is what keeps it all moving the way it should.

Meet Jack, one of our Waikato Operations Managers and a familiar face looking after some of the region's biggest sites including Health NZ - Waikato.

The role at Fieldays looks different to his usual week including ticketing, traffic management, events, bars and security across the site. A change of scenery that he enjoys getting amongst year on year.

Well regarded by everyone around him - clients, colleagues and the frontline team. Awesome work Jack!

Back at Mystery Creek for Fieldays, closing in on nearly 10 years as the security team behind one of New Zealand's most iconic events.

Our crew have been on site doing final sweeps and locking down all the safety details before the gates open tomorrow. Looking forward to getting amongst the action tomorrow!

For five years our Operations Manager Francis has been showing up every week to coach at Waiau Pa Wolves FC - a small rural football club affiliated with Pukekohe AFC, working with kids aged 6 to 12.

The club runs with little external funding and exists largely because people like Francis choose to give their time to it.

We are proud of the work our people do on the job and we are equally proud of what they do off the clock too, Francis is an exceptional example of what it means to make a difference to local communities.

Our team covered security for Marlon Williams at Trafalgar Venues and it certainly turned into one of the more memorable events on the Tasman calendar recently!

Our team had a fantastic night and the client was very pleased with how the whole operation came together.

We welcome another great shopping centre to our retail security portfolio, WestCity!

From loss prevention to customer experience, the way security is delivered in a retail setting has a real impact on the business and the people in it.

Retail security at this level is about more than just the shop floor.

We focus on understanding the centre, knowing its retailers and being a reliable partner for frontline retail staff and management.

West City is a well established centre with great mix of retailers that attract a significant volume of customers through the doors every day.
