Today we are excited to be hosting the SEZ Intermediate School Gymnastics Competition here at HGC! 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

We would like to wish all athletes competing today the very best of luck. We look forward to seeing some fantastic performances and celebrating the hard work of students from schools across the region.

A reminder to all members that due to the competition, there will be no Preschool classes running today. Thank you for your understanding and support as we host this event.

🎉 COMPETITIVE SQUAD DISCO FUNDRAISER 🪩

Join us this weekend for a fun-filled evening of dancing, games, music, and pizza! 🍕🎶

📅 Saturday 20th June
⏰ 5:00pm – 7:00pm
💲 $20 per ticket (pizza included!)

This fundraiser is being run by our Competitive Squad athletes and families to help raise funds towards their competition travel levies for Wellington, Christchurch, and Nationals later this year.

Bring your friends, show off your best dance moves, and help support our athletes as they represent HGC around New Zealand. Every ticket sold helps make these exciting opportunities possible!

🏅 HGC Competition Weekend Starts Tomorrow! 🏅

We're excited to welcome all of our gymnasts and families to the club for a fantastic weekend of competition!

⏰ Please arrive a few minutes before your session is due to begin to allow time for check-in and warm-up.

🚪 All competitors and spectators will enter via the back entrance of the gymnasium.

🍔 Be sure to visit our canteen throughout the weekend, grab some HGC merchandise, and keep an eye out for spot prizes that will be up for grabs across the event!

🏆 Prizegivings will be held in our Mini Gym following each session.

👀 Even if you're not competing, come on down and enjoy the atmosphere, support our gymnasts, and see what our competitions are all about!

⚠️ A reminder that there will be no regular classes running tomorrow due to the competition.

What an incredible team we have here at HGC!

Over the weekend we were stretched across three different events — our competitive tumblers in Christchurch, our MAG/WAG squad at Counties, and our Invitational Tumblers and recreational gymnasts at Franklin — and every single group stepped up brilliantly.

Despite being spread out, the effort, teamwork, and support across the club was outstanding, and we are so proud of the results achieved right across the board. A huge well done to all of our gymnasts and coaches for an amazing weekend of gymnastics!

Our competition weekend is here and we still have a number of spaces needing to be filled by our amazing HGC community! If you can give us an hour or two of your time we would really appreciate it!

What an incredible milestone for our club this term — we are so excited to share that we have officially reached 1000 members!

This is such a special moment for our community and reflects the energy, dedication, and passion of every single gymnast, coach, and family who makes our club what it is. From preschool right through to our competitive athletes, it’s amazing to see our gym family continue to grow. 💙

We are still accepting trials in a number of our classes, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is a great time to come and give gymnastics a go!

🎟️ Raffle Baskets Available Throughout June! 🎟️

Throughout the month of June, the parents of our Senior Competitive Squad athletes will be running raffle basket sales to help support their athletes with travel costs for competitions and events around New Zealand this year.

There are some amazing baskets up for grabs, so make sure you grab some tickets and support these hardworking athletes and their families on their competition journey 💙
