The shortest day is almost here.

The days start getting longer from this weekend, but as the saying goes, the days get longer and the cold gets stronger.

It's a timely reminder that thermal performance matters most when buildings are working hardest to stay comfortable.

Skylights have traditionally been one of the weakest performing elements of the building envelope. While it brings incredible natural light, it can also become a significant source of heat loss if not designed correctly.

That's why Harmony Roof Windows are available with high-performance glazing options, including triple glazing, helping to reduce heat loss and minimise heating demand while still delivering the benefits of natural daylight.

Because great daylight shouldn't come at the expense of comfort.

We're heading to Melbourne. Adlux is excited to be joining the Australian Passivhaus Association's THRIVE 2026 conference, our first step in actively establishing a presence in Australia’s high-performance building market.

The response we've received from Australian architects and specifiers to the Harmony Roof Window has been very positive, and it reinforces what we were already hearing: there is a genuine appetite in Australia for thermally broken, high-performance skylights that don’t compromise on design.

We're looking forward to connecting with the industry at THRIVE and learning from one of the most engaged high-performance building audiences in the Southern Hemisphere.

If you're attending, come and meet the team.

Overhead glazing has traditionally been one of the weakest performing elements of the building envelope.

Large expanses of glass bring incredible natural light and architectural impact, but they have come with compromises in thermal performance.

Harmony Array was developed to help change that.

By combining multiple thermally broken modules and thermally isolated beams into a single integrated roof glazing system, Harmony Array helps improve the thermal performance of large overhead glazing applications while preserving the architectural vision.

This recent installation shows a project taking shape, bringing daylight deep into the building while addressing one of the industry's long-standing challenges.

Better daylight. Better performance. Better buildings.

No two projects perform the same, and neither do the climates they’re built in.

From colder southern environments to warmer coastal regions, roof windows need to do more than simply let light in. They need to perform.

Harmony Roof Windows are designed as a flexible, high-performance system with glazing and specification options adaptable to different climate demands and building requirements.

At Adlux, we don’t just supply a standard product off the shelf. We work with architects, builders and homeowners to help provide the right solution for the project, the environment and the expected performance outcome.

Because better buildings start with better considered solutions.

Winter is when window performance really gets tested.

These before and after photos show the difference experienced by one Marlborough homeowner after replacing older skylights with Adlux Harmony Roof Windows.

Before: regular condensation, frost build-up and moisture damage down the reveals during winter.

After upgrading to thermally broken Harmony Roof Windows: two winters with zero condensation and no further water damage.

Real-world performance matters, especially during the colder months.

“Two winters now and zero condensation and zero water damage ever since.”

Designed and manufactured in New Zealand for New Zealand conditions.

Colour matched. Integrated. No hassle.

Our Harmony Roof Windows can be ordered powder coated to match your roof, delivering a clean, seamless finish that feels fully integrated into the design.

This recent installation shows how the right colour match helps the roof window sit naturally within the roofline.

Manufactured in New Zealand and matched to NZ standard colours, each unit arrives ready to install and built to perform.

A simple way to elevate the overall look of a project with a consistent, considered finish.
