A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to create a piece for the Pipiwai community, collaborating with the wonderful students of Te Horo School to bring their vision to life. As we step into the warmer season, I'm excited to announce that I'm opening up for new commission work. New Pipiwai public toilets open for business 🚽🚽

This vibrant new toilet block has been completed in the heart of Pipiwai with help from senior students at the neighbouring Te Horo School 🩵

It's a two-pan block with an accessible cubical that was advocated for by the local community. The striking mural was co-designed by Earnest Bradley and local students to capture the spirit of the Pipiwai Valley. Students were given examples of mural work to spark their imagination and encouraged to think about what made Pipiwai special to them, thinking about the land, river, birds and stories.

After watching the movie Moana back to back times with my niece I was inspired to create this fishing flash based off my experiences with my good friends from the crew and a playful twist of Māori design.
