A few snaps from our inaugural Wynyard event. We were lucky enough to partner with and for the release of the 1080 shoe. A gathering of good running folk who took off for a sunset run (it was beautiful behind the grey Auckland summer evening!) and returned for refreshments and a wind down. 🏃🏃‍♀️👟🥯

We’re open in Wynyard Quarter! 🥯☕

Last Saturday, we quietly opened the doors to our fourth Goodness Gracious café, tucked into the laneways of Wynyard Quarter.

This opening felt a little different. When we launched our first few stores, we were the new kid on the block. People were curious, media wanted to cover café openings, and the energy around hospitality was at its peak.

Now, nearly 12 years in, we’re a bit more familiar to Aucklanders. Some people know us from Eden Terrace, Parnell, or Takapuna. Some have never been, but have heard of us. And a few of our regulars now live or work nearby - which meant we saw some familiar faces walk through the doors last weekend, bringing their friends and coworkers along. That was special.

One near-by hotel guest even told us the café reminded her of Melbourne. That made our day.

There were no nerves this time. The space felt calm, the service smooth, and the feedback has already been great. It has been a steady start, and we’re excited to see how the neighbourhood continues to respond.

We’re officially open at Wynyard Quarter

After months of planning, building, and obsessing over the details, our fourth Goodness Gracious café is finally here.

This one was built through a tough economic climate, and like every site we’ve opened, it comes with a mix of anticipation, late nights, and a few more grey hairs.

The space carries our signature style — minimalist brutalist with manners. Think concrete, black steel, butcher tiles, soft timber, and just the right amount of warmth.

We’re proud of what we’ve created and excited to be part of the Wynyard Quarter community.

Pop in for one of our bagels, a strong coffee, and a space designed for good people and good rhythm.

We passed our final building inspection yesturday. In this economic climate, just getting to this stage feels like a small victory.

The past few months have been a blur of problem-solving, planning, and pivoting.

Grateful to the team, the trades, and the regulars who have been cheering us on.
