Curryfication: Celebrating the New Zealand Indian diversity through food "Curryfication" documentary, by Auckland film maker Amit Tripuraneni, is set to air on TV1 this Saturday, November 6.
‘CURRYFICATION’ explores heritage, culture and food through the eyes of successful first generation immigrants of Indian heritage like Sid & Chand Sahrawat (Sidart, Cassia, Sid at the French Café); Ganesh Raj (Eat Well for Less, Tasting Shed, Humble Yum Yum); Ashia Ismail-Singer (My Indian Kitchen) and Sammy Akuthota (Satya Chai Lounge).
The doco takes the viewers into the homes and kitchens of these kiwi food icons as they share their candid thoughts on what various aspects of heritage means to them and how that’s defined their work (and in turn their success).
