Designing hospitality isn’t just about individual spaces it’s about how they work together. This renovation at the Grand Millennium Auckland carefully curates a shared open environment that accommodates a restaurant, mezzanine cocktail bar and lobby bar each with its own distinct identity yet seamlessly connected.

Thoughtful zoning, sightlines and circulation create a natural flow between spaces supporting both guest experience and operational efficiency as the venues transition from day to evening. Beyond hotel convenience the design establishes a true destination inviting locals and visitors alike.

Building on Goodside’s open courtyard concept, Gather café’s exterior dining area sits beneath solid timber framing. It’s orientation and sight lines draw on the spatial rhythm of Goodside, while establishing a character that feels both familiar and new.

As an extension of our work at the Goodside, .eatery carries the story forward, maintaining the same flow while expressing its own character. The new building sits prominently in front of the AIA building and is designed with flexible tenancy in mind. Rustic brick slips give the façade a worn-in feel, making it seem as though it has always been part of the site.

Stoked to share that Quinn Bar took home three awards at this years !

Silver in Spatial Colour, Silver in Lighting Design, and Bronze in Hospitality!

Tucked beneath Queen Street, Quinn Bar has become one of Auckland’s most elusive basement bars, plush, moody, and layered with character. Deep jewel tones, interactive lighting, and reflective finishes marry together to create an atmosphere that’s both intimate and immersive. We wish it many more years of success ahead!

Reflecting on last Friday celebrating design excellence

Very proud to share our Silver win at the 2025 for Auckland City Office (ACO)!

Honouring the building’s Art Deco heritage, ACO transformed a conventional office into a workspace that balances elegance with comfort. From the bold, textured reception that invites meetings and socialising, to private rooms designed for quiet focus, and a boardroom and kitchen brought to life through custom joinery and thoughtful finishes, the project creates a workspace where function, comfort, and character come together.

We’re stoked to see this one recognised, and a huge thanks to our client and everyone involved in bringing this project to life.
