It’s not long to go now until Sunsetter Festival in beautiful Devonport on Saturday January 18th. Tickets are completely sold out, there are no door sales and there is no waiting list. A big thanks to all those that came to Highlife NYE at Wild Estate. We would like to bring to your attention a few changes we will be making going forward to deliver a more polished experience.

Given this was our first event at this new venue, we have taken some learnings of things we can do better and improve on for the future.

Below is a list of things we will be changing or upgrading for our next Highlife NYE event at Wild Estate.

- There will be an increase in toilets for both the GA and VIP areas.

- A new luxury toilet unit will be brought in for the VIP area.

- There will be a new lay out for toilets in the GA area to avoid congestion.

- Further green spaces and vineyard spaces will be opened up for people to enjoy.

- The production and decor in all music areas will be upgraded.

- New food offerings will be added.

- Our end of night NYE countdown production will be enhanced.

Important info for Highlife NYE 2024!

Highlife NYE is almost here so please read on for important details on this event.

R23:

This event is R23 so please be ready to present your identification upon arrival for entry. Our security will be checking ID’s where required.

DRESS:

We encourage a smart yet fun style of attire. Give the jandals, singlets, sports team apparel and activewear a miss for this one – dress to impress!

LOCATION:

Wild Estate, 82 Onetangi Road, Waiheke Island. https://wildestate.co.nz/


WEATHER:

The current forecast for December 31st is predicted to be cloudy with a few showers in the morning and then sunshine in the afternoon. We have a lot of marquees and indoor space organized for this event so we will have you covered rain or shine.

EFTPOS & CASH:

This event is mainly using Eftpos across all bars but there will be one cash bar available at the event.

FERRIES & BUSES:

Thanks to Fullers we have some special 1am and 1.30am Ferries organized to take people off the Island. To be able to use this service, you must purchase the special Highlife NYE Ferry Bus combo tickets direct from Fullers and obtain a special wrist band from Fullers at the Highlife NYE kiosk that will be set up at the Auckland ferry terminal on New Years Eve. There are also a range of Buses operating across the Island from different destinations and other transport options. NO ALCOHOL ON THE BUSES:

No drinking of alcoholic beverages is permitted on the Buses whatsoever. If you are seen drinking on the bus, you won’t be granted entry into the festival.

END OF NIGHT BUSES:

All buses will begin loading from 12am onwards and will depart once full to take people to the Ferry building and other Waiheke locations. Please look for your bus destination sign and follow all instructions from Highlife staff.

FOOD VENDORS:

This event has a range of food vendors on the gravel driveway between the main stage area and vines. Wild Estate will also be selling food and this will be available from the side of the building next to the VIP area.

CAR PARKING:

There is a car park situated onsite at the venue at $20 cash per vehicle. Please don’t drink and drive!

DRINK RESPONSIBLY:

Go easy on your pre-drinks and pace yourself throughout the festival. We want everyone to have a good time in a safe enjoyable environment. It is against the law for us to have intoxicated patrons on site so do us all a favour and keep your consumption under control. If you arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, you will not be able to get into the event. Cold water will be available to purchase across all bars but there will also be complimentary water stations throughout the venue to keep you hydrated.

We are pleased to announce that Ibiza legend Jonathan Ulysses and the UK’s DJ Steve Richards will be coming down to headline our 2024 Highlife NYE at Wild Estate Vineyard on Waiheke Island!

Both of these acts are known for their explosive DJ sets and have a long history of performing at many of the top clubs and festivals across Europe and beyond.

Joining them are local stars Dick Johnson, Tim Phin, Waxxfanatic, Rio Funk, Karn Hall, Paris is Burning and a whole lot more.
