Konnichiwa... this month's Tuesday meeting included an embroidery stitch-a-long of the Kogin technique. An ANZEG Portfolio Resource.
A challenge for some, and well suited other embroiderers who can count and had their 👀 🧐 spot on. Great chatter and thoroughly enjoyed.

June's Saturday meeting was a buzz with one of our members, Dale, tutoring Bead Knitting. An inspiration for Elana to finish her UFO blue purse 👛🩵🫶

It's King's Birthday weekend in New Zealand so why not learn and embroider Shirley Designs' Curious Floral Pattern. Beginners and Intermediate patterns using Appleton Crewel Wools. A popular workshop which is looking to be repeated soon!

Today's monthly Tuesday meeting saw a great turnout - embroidery wins with New Work, interesting whip around the rooms for what's in hand, and a delve into AEG's Archives (Schwalm, Mountmellick, gifted 1938 handkerchiefs, Goldwork on silk).

2. Usha's saddle bag from a class with Robyn Hart. Usha said one piece of embroidery has been on the go a number of years - perfect pieces for the bag.

1. Elizabeth got a book out from our library called : Mitred Patchwork by Margaret K Wright and made this lovely example of the technique to decorate a special bowl.
