If you haven't been out to Huia lately, you’re missing out on Karamatura Falls. It’s a stunning spot in the Waitākere Ranges that feels worlds away from the city hustle, but it only takes about an hour to complete the return trip.
Perfect for a Saturday morning reset or a quick nature fix with friends. The track is well-maintained and takes you through some of the most beautiful native bush in the region. 🇳🇿
Quick Tips for your visit:
📍 Location: Karamatura Farm/Track, Huia.
🚗 Drive: About 45-50 mins from Auckland CBD.
👟 Gear: Sturdy sneakers are fine, but it can get a bit muddy after rain!
🐕 Note: Check local council signs for current dog access rules (usually prohibited to protect kauri).
