Due to the success of our medical Spinal Strengthening Programme we wanted to offer not only our patients but the general public a unique opportunity to have access to a training facility that offers health-oriented strength training for the whole body, under the guidance of physiotherapists and skilled exercise instructors. Nikeisha rejoined the gym to keep her fitness up over the holiday period and that she has done. She participated in CrossFit as well a hockey at a younger age and uses training as a way to feel calm and relaxed. She chooses MedStrength due to the lovely community surrounding her and has been able to lift heavier on her weights of choice. Well done Nikeisha, keep staying consistent and reaching your goals 👏

It's members like our May member of the Month that keep us motivated. Meet Peter Haynes who joined MedStrength in 2019 after having Physio with Andy for his arthritic hip pain that was inhibiting his walking. Andy gave Peter a strengthening program and since joining MedStrength, the arthritic pain has become a distant memory. When asked about what he likes the most, he mentioned it's the whole "vibe" in our gym from the trainers to the other members. Peter is a regular and has been tracking so well in his program he deserves a huge shout out. Be sure to give him a high five if you see in the gym!

With the rainy winter days among us, our classes are still going ahead! When the weather is bad we move inside for balance and stretching on a Monday, stretching on a Tuesday, and Balance on a Friday. All classes are $10 and start at 9am.

Say Hello to our March Member of the Month, Jeremy Wong.

Jeremy has been a member since December 2014 after completing his back physical therapy with Functional Physio. Although currently Jeremy’s achievements are limited to more functional exercises (like completing 100 push ups a day for 17 consecutive days and improving his box jump height), he has also smashed out many others like training for triathlons and other sports such as badminton and tennis. He feels these achievements were only possible due to his consistent training at MedStrength; using machines such as the lumbar extension and the hip abductor, making him bounce back from life’s obstacles (such as falling off ladders) much easier and quicker. This optometrist is the epitome of consistency and enjoys trying our physical challenges when he is able, and often topping our scoreboards!

Jeremy, we are always in awe of your perseverance and commitment to your health. We hope we can continue to help you pursue and achieve more of your goals.
