Light UP AUT Musical Club values the idea of music as a vessel for the betterment of a student intellect; discipline; emotional quotient and expression of one's identity and personality. We as Light Up has a privilege of being one of the first Musical network in the university. The Club has rapidly evolved through building relationships as well as social networking with the purpose of improving th
e AUT Student Community. With the Club being regularly active during the year of 2016 the club was awarded “Social Club of the Year” by the AuSM association. The Club objectives are to value the idea of music as a vessel for the betterment of a student intellect; discipline; emotional quotient and expression of one's identity and personality. Light UP is inspired by the aim of improving the interaction among AUT students, we also aim to help students improve their musical talent and expand their knowledge. Light UP is a diverse network containing various nationalities, this helps us connect well with other ethnic groups and teaches the members about cultural differences, which is one of the unique aspects we value, giving the band various opportunities extensively within the university. Light UP AUT Musical Club is a network that assists students in numerous ways, it helps student build confidence; discipline and value community. This will benefit them as they leave their studies and pursue their aspirations later in life. We hope that in the process we inspire students to have a voice through what they enjoy doing. @2016
