We have started to improve the soil on our new land. The soil there is clayey and poorly drained. To improve drainage, we mixed the soil with pumice made from recycled glass, bamboo charcoal and humus soil.

Mizuna is growing well in our Keyhole Garden.
Mizuna is an excellent green vegetable with a balanced nutritional profile, rich in vitamin C, potassium, calcium, fibre and beta-carotene.
It is a good vegetable for salads, hot pot fillings and namul.

We recently planted strawberries and garlic together.
These are companion plants that help each other grow.

We have set up beer traps to catch slugs🍺🐌
They generally feed at night and target young seedlings🌱😢
During the day, slugs like to hide under mulches and in worm holes, so hand picking these intruders is difficult🤨
