College Rifles Boxing

Awesome first fight for Harry Finnigan 🏅

Got dropped in the first round then showed some massive cajones and heart turning the fight around and stopped his opponent in the 2nd round🥊

Thanks to SHURIKEN FIGHT CENTRE for having us 🙏

Golden Gloves 2026 🥊

A lot to take away for the team , but a great effort from all the boys.

2x round wins- 1 by KO in the first round
3x semi-finalists
1x final win and new North Island Novice Champ

Huge sparring session for the boys 🥊

1 month out from Golden Gloves

That’s a wrap on the North Island Novice Champs 🥊

We came away with 1 gold and 1 silver, finishing with 3 wins and 3 losses overall.

Jay had a good fight and secured the gold. Amazing work 🥇

Kals stepped up big time, taking on a much more experienced opponent in a match bout due to no one in his division—and got the win 🏅

Jessie moved up into a more experienced division and performed outstandingly, narrowly missing gold with a controversial split decision loss in the final🥈

James moved up a weight division for the same reason but couldn’t quite get the result this time. But still a good effort.

Alex put on a strong performance against the eventual division winner.

Proud of everyone’s effort to and willingness to challenge themselves 👊

Thank you……..

Congratulations to .clarkson_ getting the win today- a split decision against a tough opponent 🏆

A good performance and experience for getting an exhibition fight with a much more experienced boxer 🥊

Thank you and Albie for putting on another good event.

Hard and competitive bout for Jay today.
He represented the Club well! Let's learn from the loss and on to the next one 🥊
