Transpower NZ & LPINZ

LPINZ has signed a 3-year supply agreement with Transpower New Zealand for the supply of high-voltage instrument transformers.

This agreement reflects Transpower’s confidence in LPINZ’s technical capability, quality assurance processes, and long-term commitment to supporting New Zealand’s national transmission network.

The scope includes the supply of critical HV instrument transformer equipment for utility applications, with a focus on reliability, compliance, and lifecycle performance.

We look forward to supporting Transpower’s ongoing grid investment programme over the coming years.

Beca HOUSE – INSTALLATION & COMMISSIONING OF POWER QUALITY SYSTEM
LPINZ is proud to share the next stage of our work at BECA House, Wynyard Quarter – Site 6.
Following LPINZ comprehensive power quality audit and monitoring assessment, our team designed a tailored power quality solution to address harmonic distortion, unbalanced loads, and power factor issues identified during the audit.
We’re pleased to announce that we have now supplied and successfully commissioned the complete system – including CIRCUTOR AFQm Active Harmonic Filters with a total capacity of 500 Amps.

This solution will:
✅ Significantly improve power quality and network stability
✅ Deliver cost savings through energy efficiency improvements
✅ Extend the lifespan of electrical infrastructure by reducing stress on equipment

This project showcases LPINZ’s full capability – from monitoring and analysis to design, supply, commissioning and implementation of advanced energy solutions.
We’re proud to support BISHMAN LIMITED Electrical and play a role in optimising the electrical performance of one of Auckland’s key commercial precincts.

LPINZ, working alongside Spencer Snell of BISHMAN LIMITED Electrical and with approval from Mott MacDonald, recently completed a detailed power monitoring and analysis for Beca House at Wynyard Quarter – Site 6.

Led by LPINZ electrical engineer Ashan, our engineering team conducted a comprehensive assessment of the building’s power quality, capturing critical insights on load profiles, harmonics, and overall system performance.

This analysis forms the foundation for improving reliability, efficiency, and long-term electrical performance across the site.

🚧 Project Completed this week:
New Power Quality Installation Completed & Commissioned This Week at a Major Commercial HQ ⚡

LPINZ is proud to have successfully delivered another power quality solution — this time supplying and commissioning a Circutor AFQm-200A Active Harmonic Filter for a large commercial headquarters building in Auckland.
The filter is connected to a 1600A Main Switchboard and is actively correcting harmonic distortions, significantly improving power quality and system reliability.

LPINZ also supplied Lightning Protection System as part of the scope.
🔧 Special thanks to the Aotea Electric Auckland team, led by Simon and Francois, for their excellent work on-site.

This project was specified by eCubed, and commissioning was completed by the LPINZ team, led by Ashan and supported by Sanjay.
