π₯ What an amazing way to start a Friday! π₯
This morning, we officially launched the PVS Commonwealth Games! It was an incredible experience for our learners, who were walked into the hall to the sound of the bagpipes.
πΆ A HUGE shout-out to Ricco for playing the bagpipes for us! You did an absolutely amazing job, Ricco, and made the morning so special for everyone! π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώπ
To help support our childrenβs learning, they will be discovering how the Commonwealth Games bring together athletes from over 70 different nations and territories every four years to compete in the spirit of friendship. Known as the "Friendly Games," it is a unique event where para-sports are completely integrated into the main competition, showing our learners a wonderful example of equality and inclusion. This supports our school value of RESPECT.
Our fantastic WhΔnau Captains led the special assembly, where each class drew a Commonwealth country that they will be learning all about in the coming weeks. It is such a wonderful opportunity for "learning together" and bringing our school community closer. πβ¨
The countdown is officially on! Watch this space as we prepare to hold our very own PVS Commonwealth Games on Friday, 31st July! ππ
A huge shout out to the amazing team, who have got this all organised making PVS such a special place to be!

Bookings are now open on the Hero app for our upcoming Term 2 Three Way Conference!

This is a shared learning journey, so children attend the conference alongside their whΔnau. It is a wonderful time for child, whΔnau, and teacher to come together and celebrate their hard work and progress.
π± How to Book
Please log into your Hero App, check out the date and times. There is also information to show you how to make a booking, via the school bookings section in the App.

π Huge Shout-Out to our Basketball Players π
We want to send a massive thank you and shout-out to the wonderful group of parents who have gone above and beyond to set up a team for our learners in the Underdog Basketball League outside of school hours.

We are so grateful for the time, energy, and dedication these parents have poured into creating this fantastic opportunity for our learners. Because of your mahi, our kids are staying active, building teamwork, and making brilliant memories.
