Recently did some work for Tranztech where they had about 8 liters of oil in the cooling system. Tranztech had cleared some but it was not going away.
The oil cooler had been repaired so it wasn't introducing more oil.
Filled with a oil emulsifying agent and got it hot, flushed it with my machine until clean.

Got a text from Tranztech a couple of days later saying the cooling system looks mint as.

Continuing to replenish a large fleet. We head down to Hamilton once a week to replace the thermostats and coolant.

Bit of a fishy smell in this one, not entirely sure about how it smelled of fish.

Salt water was put in to top up.

Fish oil added for a prank or only thing on hand.
*Theory 3*
Fish being store in the water.

A salt water aquarium in your engine, i didn't find anything exotic.

Whatever the reason its not good for steel.

Recognizing how important your cooling system is in relation to how long your engine lasts.

You need it just as much as your oil system.

The most neglected part of your engines maintenance.

Got a call out to an orchard with the complaint, big bang, sounds funny and now its getting hot.
Found rust particulates all through the cooling system oh and the water pump sheared off its drive shaft smacking into the radiator.

Very lucky no radiator damage but the water pump had been leaking for quite some time using whatever was being put in(water).

Flushed system and replaced water pump. System came out nicely but we caught it just in time.

Well I thought I left the folding of flyers when I was 11.
16 years later I'm back at it, although at least it's only for myself.

In the little info pack I'm putting together is a ECS brochure, NZ Army field test results, business card and a pen (because you always need a pen) also Commercial Brake Services flyer for those that want more reliability out of their drums and discs.

Big thanks to ETL for having us round to check and replenish their coolant in the fleet of excavators, checked the majority of the fleet and have been asked back to do some more.

The website has gone live and the work is being set up for next week. Six jobs in the pipeline with potential for much more with a new customer.

Compressor is in the van. Just made it a bit smaller first.

Website is coming along. A bit of fine tuning and it should be up this week.
