Hailing from Shen Zhen province in China, Selina moved to NZ in 2018 and has never looked back. Outside of her work life, Selina is a devoted mother to her teenage daughter, loves to spend time in her garden, is a skilled dumpling maker, and is an avid reader.

It’s time for another staff profile. Today we are delving into the lives of one of our senior staff, our head of Building Management, Grant Helleur!

One of Grant’s passions in life is his fitness, as a trained personal trainer he often shares his tips and tricks to keep us all fit and healthy. Outside of work Grant takes a number of high intensity spin classes throughout the week, he cycles, he runs, walks his two dogs, and still finds the time to cook dinner for his wife each night.

Don’t let his stoic demeanour trick you, Grant is one of the kindest men you would ever meet. Now a little from the legend himself!

If you could invite anyone to dinner, from any time period, who would it be?
It would need to be a dinner party, I would like to understand what pushes people (sports people) to achieve greatness. Invited to dinner would be Muhammad Ali, Cameron Brown (NZ Triathlete), Steve Gurney (9 times winner of Coast to Coast), Eliud Kipchoge (Marathon World Record Holder and the only person to ever run a sub 2 hour marathon), Courtney Dauwalter (Ultramarathon Runner) and Lance Armstrong (and before you say drugs made him a champion, he was a great athlete before EPO).

What would be the title of your autobiography?

It would be self-inflicted . . . . running a 102km race. It's as much a mental challenge as a physical one, you go into some dark places but find out how resilient and tough you really are.
