In 1962, two West Aucklanders, Colin Crump and Dan Kenny, embarked on an incredible journey by founding a tape manufacturing company called Danco N.Z. Ltd.

Over the years, Danco's legacy continued to evolve as it passed through different hands. Fast forward to March 2021, when a remarkable twist of fate unfolded. Sealed Air (New Zealand) Ltd decided to sell its tape division, Danco, to none other than Charlie Kilvington.

Charlie, who had previously been a part of the Danco team, loved the product range and technical capabilities and understood how important this brand was to New Zealand industry.

Today, Danco is once again proudly New Zealand-owned and operated, with a renewed commitment to supporting the commercial, manufacturing, engineering, and construction sectors in NZ. We're excited about the journey ahead.

⭐ Danco owner rebrands to PGL ⭐

After almost 20 years trading as Pomona Group Limited, we have rebranded to PGL.

As part of this rebrand Danco has been fully incorporated into the PGL family, from a customer facing and back office perspective, to sit alongside Pomona Tapes and Selfgard in the PGL family of brands.

This cohesive new identity for PGL reflects our focus on our customers as we seek to deliver a seamless experience combined with top-tier quality products and innovative product solutions across all three of our brands including Danco.
