So we let the Chief have the day off yesterday for his birthday…

…but today he’s right back into it. ‘A day of demo’ (how satisfying!) ripping out a old deck and handrail.

The break was a blast (phew! didn’t the weather deliver some beaut days). We are recharged and excited to take on some new building projects.

Here’s what the Chief has been working on in his spare time… our new sustainable Christmas tree 🎄

Made from timber and steel off cuts (so no new materials purchased or fresh trees cut), and it folds away flat when Christmas is over.

Now it just needs to be decorated 🎄

Yes! The Chief knows his camera angles and (prob way more important) his building angles.

Just as well, because most building projects incorporate design elements that require a fair bit of skill - like this pretty cool house you see in the background… it’s nearly off grid, across multiple levels, is rocking variety of new materials… oh! has a lot of unique angles.

Who doesn't love a before/after set of pics.... especially when pool-time is the reward!

This project included new deck, fence and retaining walls - the result was the perfect outdoor escape.

Something pretty striking about the Abodo Wood cladding (yep that’s the Chief looking mighty happy after finishing that wall)… was great to meet the team behind the product at Conztruct last week too.
