PokeCollection

What's up, you lot! You may or may not have seen, but I'm currently overseas and have been for over the past week. Visiting my in-laws and preparing for wedding festivities, but I've been seeing bits of the fun amidst it all! Hoping to get back into regular programming when I'm back home in a few weeks, but for now enjoying a mix of downtime and wedding chaos and a much-needed break from the madness of every day life! 🙌

There's been a lot of food and cultural shenanigans in the mix. I've been posting to my Meta Stories a fair bit so if you're into some non-Pokémon, foodie/travel fun, you can keep up with my updates there! ☺️

How are you doing? How are all the pulls?

Speaking of pulls, a bit of a snack haul for us I thought I'd share! Every time we travel, first trip is usually to a local supermarket - my favourite thing to do. I am immediately overwhelmed by all the products and want nothing more but to buy everything! 🤣

Ngl. The crash out over and card prices plummeting, and supply not being that much of an issue as has been seen in recent times, pleases me greatly and this reaction is accurate. I'm not even sorry about it. 🤣

Also it gives me hope that I'll be able to get my hands on some when I'm back from holidays!

They big mad after botting, scalping, and stealing product #pokerado #pokemon #scalpers

The Pokémon 30th Anniversary release is almost upon us! Who's excited!? Got your pre-orders in, or picking up your goods at a midnight release? What are you picking up?

I can't wait to open cards again soon, so much to catch up on, but with an upcoming holiday ahead, I'll have to do my best to catch up when I get back from travels - I'm already used to being behind at this point 🤣

I'm really looking forward to seeing more of the cards! Any chase cards for you? Value aside, let's talk artwork!

I'm in the process of cataloguing my sets as I go, but for anyone that wants a lil nosy, feel free to take a look!

With my rebinding collection completed, and no further sets to bind as I haven't had the opportunity to collect much from Ascended Heroes onwards, I've begun to (finally) definitively catalogue my collection down to the cards in my personal collection - among others.

It's allowing me to to through each card one by one all over again, from Base Set onwards, and I often forget what I have 😅

I've currently been cataloguing Legendary Collection and my e-series cards, and came across these beauts! Crystal Charizard reverse holofoil from Skyridge and Charizards from Legendary Collection. ☺️

I'm nkt one to talk much to value, and never have been, but it is unavoidable these days and stuns me to super effective paralysis that these sets, even incomplete, are beyond what I'd ever have thought - kinda terrifying actually! I feel like I'm stuck in a pre-boom time warp so I'm endlessly surprised haha.

By the way, I opened 3 boxes of LC back in the day, thought they were expensive then! 😅

Happy Father's Day to all the dads and dad-figures out there! And if you're back in the UK and wondering what the heck is going on, it's different here in NZ 😆

This is so cool! Burger King NZ is going full Super Saiyan from 9th September, where you can grab special Dragon Ball Super-themed food and collectible figurines!

A Super Saiyan Whopper!
Fried Chicken Burger!
6 Collectible Figurines!
Limited Edition T-Shirts!

Exciting, I love a themed collab. Anyone heading in to pick up the goods?

Madman Entertainment NZ Toei Animation Crunchyroll

Wow! I wasn't expecting to see something like this, and on blu-ray as well. I remember the days of working with Beyond Home Entertainment who had the original license to designing and distributing official Pokémon releases across the Oceania region. They did such a good job and working with the team was so awesome, but unfortunately no idea what happened to distribution since Shock took over and, honestly, the home video market has suffered with the rise of digital and streaming.

Still, so cool to see! I'd love to get hold of this. Price point being in the $600-700 NZD mark though is quite a bit!

Love the compact design though, and the new discs!
