🔥 WHEN THE FIRE’S OUT…

Soot gets everywhere.

Walls. Ceilings. Cupboards. Floors.
And yep… even the toilet. 🚽😅

Fire restoration isn’t just about making som**hing look clean. Soot and smoke residue can settle across surfaces throughout a property, leaving behind staining, contamination and that unmistakable smoke odour.

This one needed a little Saint Clean treatment. ✨

Before: 🔥🚽😳
After: 🚽✨🤌

From soot-covered to sparkling.

Just another day in the world of extreme cleaning.

There’s dirty, and then there’s time to call us! 🙌🏻

You don’t always need to replace it - but rather the right people to clean it. 💪

✨ If only we could photograph how GOOD these carpets smell too!

Another between-tenancy carpet clean completed, with the landlord opting to add an odour treatment as a little extra for the incoming tenants.

Smart man 👏

Regular professional carpet cleaning isn’t just about making carpets look good - removing the built-up dirt and grime buried within the fibres can actually help prolong the life of the carpet too.

Clean. Fresh. Ready for the next tenants. 🧼✨

✨ Fresh carpets, ready for the next chapter!

A recent between-tenancy carpet clean completed and looking SO much better 🙌

Nothing beats that fresh, clean finish before the new tenants move in. 🧼✨

A note from me, not from the business.

Today I feel sad.

Not the kind of sad that needs a motivational quote or someone telling me to look on the bright side. Just deeply, quietly sad.

Over the last 21 years, I feel like I’ve watched so many people I learned to love either die or leave. And sometimes one small moment brings all of those losses back at once.

Today I found myself wondering:

Do we actually matter to one another anymore?

Would people notice if we disappeared from their lives?
Would they miss us?
Or have we become so busy building our own little worlds that we’ve forgotten how to genuinely belong to each other?

Through Saint Clean, I see parts of life most people never see.

I walk into homes where someone has died alone. Homes where people have stopped coping. Homes where children are growing up in circumstances outsiders might judge in seconds.

And I often wonder what happened before we arrived.

Was there a mother desperately holding everything together while silently falling apart?

Was there someone who stopped answering messages and nobody asked twice?

Was there someone surrounded by people, but still completely alone?

We talk a lot about su***de awareness. We tell people to reach out.

But perhaps we also need to ask som**hing harder:

Are we reaching in?

Do we check on the strong friend?
Do we notice when someone goes quiet?
Do we make room at our tables?
Do we include people when there is nothing in it for us?
Do we tell people they matter while they are still here to hear it?

I don’t know when community became som**hing we talk about more than som**hing we practise.

I just think we could care more.

Call the person.
Invite them.
Sit with them.
Ask the second question.
Notice who has gone quiet.

And please don’t assume that because someone is capable, busy, funny, successful, fiercely independent, or always looking after everyone else that they are okay.

Sometimes the people holding everyone together are quietly wondering who would hold them.

CONT;NUE.
Your story isn’t finished.

And maybe part of being human is making damn sure the people around us know we want them in the next chapter. ❤️

Website launched for Saint Clean

On Saturday, I launched a new website for Saint Clean — an Auckland-based specialist trauma, biohazard and crime scene cleaning company.

This was one of those projects where the website needed to do more than simply look professional. It needed to feel clear, calm, discreet and trustworthy for people who may be searching during an incredibly stressful or sensitive time.

The goal was to create a website that explains what Saint Clean does, makes urgent help easy to access, and presents the business with the professionalism and compassion their work deserves.

A strong website should reflect the business behind it — and for Saint Clean, that meant balancing clarity, urgency, and care.

Proud to have brought this one to life.

Check it out - https://saintclean.com/

M**h decontamination ☣️

Behind every successful remediation is hours of detailed, m**hodical cleaning. It's physically demanding, mentally challenging, and requires the determination to keep going when it feels like there are still 10,000 walls left to wash.
Congratulations on successfully completing your first m**h decontamination Capital City Crime Scene Limited.

We're proud to have supported you along the way, collaboratively we continue to raise the standard of care and service across the industry.

Day 1 of our very first m**h decontamination.

After years of saying, "We don't do that," I can now completely understand why WE DON"T DO THAT. 😂

I've spent the day washing walls, ceilings, scrubbing surfaces, and wondering what life choices led me here.

The training was great, thank you Cleaning Systems Ltd, the advice was great, thank you Saint Clean

The service is needed. The client is happy so far.

But I can safely say this isn't my favourite type of cleaning.

Still, the property is coming up well and another family will soon have a clean, safe home again.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have what feels like 10000 more walls to wash and a few more life choices to reconsider. ☣️😆
