We still have a couple of the Splore belt buckles available if anyone is interested. Made at Splore from recycled aluminium.

What a night in the foundry.
Poured a very limited run of these belt buckles and a few medallions under a full moon.
February 1st, Imbolc, copper rich bronze running clean and true. One of those pours where everything just works.

AUM 2025! Happy New Year!

A couple of quick photos from Earth Beat Festival Sorry there are not more, time was spread a little thin because we were also managing the fire circle fire and a few other things.

Had an absoulte blast, We had some really talented kids come and do some casting! A couple of our masters are pretty complex and not easy to make work. A couple of the boys nailed it first try and just to make sure it was not a fluke, went on and cast a second one.

The Octopus was one of them. and Yes, thats only about 35mm tall, 40mm wide and just over 6mm thick. Not bad for somethign made form recycled drink cans!

Here is a small selection of die and wax cast brass figurines that were prepped for Shiprecked. Sadly we cant attend.

Cast brass octopi.

We are in the process of preparing for festival season and I was checking on all our usual recovery gear. As many of you may know we help out with recovering stuck vehicle, jump starting, towing and even getting in to vehicles when the keys have been locked in them.

These days most vehicles have a special recovery/trowing eye in their tool box. Its usually ignored until you need it and in many imports / second hand cars its missing.

If you are attending a festival this year, please check that you have it just in case, I would also sugest before packing your car take it out and stick it in the glove box.

And if you are towing someone else, please do not tow using your tow ball. If these come off they will turn in to a projectile and have killed people in the past.
