We are back for one night in February. 4th Feb on Karangahape road. More details to come!

Preloved Project: T-Shirt Workshop & Mini Fashion Studio
by Serena Stevenson

The Preloved Project is a community-led creative story project founded by multimedia artist Serena Stevenson, celebrating second-hand clothing, conscious consumption, and personal expression.

For one night on Karangahape Road, Preloved Project will pop up with a hands-on T-shirt workshop and mini fashion studio. Participants are invited to purchase a pre-loved T-shirt from a local K Rd op-shop, customise it on the spot with guided making techniques from Julie Stevens, JUNA label (fashion designer), and then step into the studio to be photographed wearing your one-of-a-kind creation.

Each participant will receive their portrait after the event - a keepsake celebrating creativity, individuality, and the joy of giving clothing a second life.

This activation is about slowing down, making together, and honouring the stories we wear.
Thank you so much!

Vinnies, Salvation Army, Red Cross, and a cute little gem St Mary’s, with a 50% discount at the moment. Then wow you e got to get to Re Circle - this concept is innovative, creative by giving a well designed space (shop) for anyone to sell clothes, crafts, etc.

Today I’m decking out my cabin and have managed to find a slat bed from Habitat for Humanityand a double mattress from Salvation Army dominion road. I wanted to also get a rug and luckily found one from domion road - all for $430 including delivery.
Each item looks and feels new.
So, soon, we will have a little guest cabin in our back yard.

As well as this, i have been actively trying gor funding for another Preloved Project activation in one or more of oir local communities. So far we have had two declines. But, we still feel passionate about this kaupapa, so, will keep going!

It you love op shopping then give a little heart to this post. ❤️

Preloved project is a multi media story project that shines a light on over consumption, and mass consumerism by celebrating second hand shopping.
Breaking down the boundaries of conventional story telling. We engage through the power of art, story and participation.

Ive spent the last few days at the Doc Edge Industry event. The topic of discussion today was, how journalism, and story telling is stuck, where audiences no longer run in conventional viewing spaces.
I’ve been making stories for over a decade that (in my opinion) are solution to these changes.
Preloved Project tells the story of over consumer waste in a fun, creative and informative way.
See on our website how story telling can be accessed in innovative ways.
