Twenty-nine confirmed entries. Ten classes represented. Drivers preparing to converge on Canterbury for a weekend that could turn a season of hard work into a New Zealand championship.

The 2026 CT Civil New Zealand Offroad Racing National Finals are approaching, and the entry list already brings together proven winners, determined challengers and junior racers making their own mark.

Behind every entry is a team preparing for the same challenge: arrive ready, race hard and make every opportunity count.

🏁 CLASS S: BUTLER’S BIG SEASON MEETS A SERIOUS CHALLENGE

John Butler, S59, has put together an impressive 2026 campaign, with strong performances at Nelson, Kurow and Christchurch. He now heads to Canterbury looking to finish that season with a New Zealand class title.

Andrew Williams, S80, won Class S and finished fifth overall at this year’s Woodhill 100. That is proven endurance form heading towards another demanding forest race.

Lincoln Bramley, S74, also delivered at Woodhill, finishing seventh overall and second in Class S.

Canterbury’s Geoff Densem, S77, completes the confirmed Class S field, bringing local representation to a class packed with drivers capable of making the weekend interesting.

Butler has had a big year, but the championship still has to be won on the track!

🏁 CLASS 2: HUTCHISON AND CULLING SET FOR A SHOWDOWN

Noah Hutchison, 203, has already shown what he can do in a major endurance race this year: second overall and the Class 2 win at Woodhill.

Tim Culling, 246, has built his campaign across the southern rounds, racing at Nelson, Kurow and Christchurch. Now he gets the opportunity to finish the season at his home circuit.

For Culling, racing in front of Canterbury supporters adds another reason to give everything. For Hutchison, it is the opportunity to finish a strong year with a class championship.

Both have shown they can handle the demands of the season. Now comes the final test.

🏁 CLASS U: FOUR DRIVERS WITH PLENTY TO RACE FOR

Neil Coutts, U32, claimed the Class U victory and sixth overall at the 2026 Woodhill 100. He brings proven endurance success into a weekend that demands both short-course speed and staying power.

Tony Terrell, U91, has campaigned across the southern rounds and heads back to Canterbury after a strong result at Christchurch.

Scott Mitchell, U72, is also confirmed, bringing his northern campaign to the final showdown.

Keegan Terrell, U81, joins the field with a season that includes his strongest round result at Kurow and another opportunity to race on home ground.

Four confirmed drivers, one class title to chase. This is a battle worth following from the first heat.

🏁 CLASS 8: THE TRUCKS ARE COMING!

Paul Preston, 800, brings a season of racing at Nelson, Kurow and Christchurch into the Finals and will be looking to finish the year strongly.

Bruce McKeown, 843, has competed in both islands this season and now joins the confirmed field for Canterbury.

Nick Leahy, 887, makes the trip from Whangārei, bringing his northern-round experience south for the season finale.

Canterbury’s Kadin Thomason, 815, also lines up after improving his round result between Kurow and Christchurch.

With drivers arriving from both ends of the country, Class 8 promises plenty for the fans to get behind.

🏁 CLASS 3: WOODHILL SUCCESS AND RECENT CANTERBURY FORM

Connor Nicklin, 310, arrives with one of the standout results achieved by an entered driver this season: third overall and first in Class 3 at Woodhill.

That performance demonstrated his ability to deliver over a demanding endurance distance — valuable experience for Sunday’s challenge.

Karlos McKay, 345, brings experience from competing at northern and southern rounds this year.

Jason McKinstry, 314, heads into the Finals following a strong recent result at Christchurch, giving Canterbury supporters another local driver to back.

Rhys Howlett, 305, also competed at Christchurch and now returns for the final weekend.

Every one of these drivers has a reason to chase a strong finish to the season.

🏁 CLASS 1: SLEE AND PATERSON BRING DIFFERENT SEASON STORIES

Slim Slee, 165, has built momentum through the southern rounds, improving his results from Nelson to Kurow and again at Christchurch.

Now he heads to the Finals looking to carry that progress into the biggest weekend of the season.

Sareena Paterson, 170, brings a year that includes second in Class 1 at Woodhill, where she also finished twelfth overall.

Both are confirmed, and both have the opportunity to finish their year with a performance to remember.

🏁 THE JUNIORS HAVE THEIR OWN BIG STORIES

Class M has five confirmed entries: Jack Rice, M08; Aiden Culling, M46; Oliver Mooney, M21; Jimmy Ringrose, M12; and Jack Doland, M48.

Rice has delivered strong results at the opening round and Kurow, while Culling has built a consistent campaign across the southern rounds.

Mooney also brings strong performances from Nelson and Christchurch into the Finals.

Ringrose has a significant achievement of his own: he won the junior race and Class M at this year’s Woodhill meeting.

Doland finished fifth in that junior race and fifth in Class M, and now joins another competitive field for the season finale.

In Class J, Harrison Mooney, J19, brings strong results from Nelson and Christchurch, while Indy Rice, J11, is also confirmed and ready for the final challenge.

Felix Culling, K46, is the current confirmed Class K entrant, with a season that includes strong results at Nelson and Christchurch.

Emma McKinstry, C14, completes the current field as the confirmed Class C entrant.

These young competitors deserve the cheers, encouragement and attention every bit as much as the adults. Their championship weekends matter just as much.

🔥 TWO DAYS TO MAKE IT COUNT

Saturday 24 October brings four short-course heats per class. Each driver’s fastest Saturday lap sets their qualifying position for Sunday’s 250km Enduro through the forest and club track.
