What sort of milk are you choosing? these are the ones I recommend.
Milk or alternative milk is something we are drinking every day, I believe it is important to have good quality.
What is look for in milk:
👉 less amount of ingredients, we do not need preservatives or emulsify's in our milk, thank you
👉 less amount of processing, you can trust the organic quality
👉 More quantity of actual almonds or oats, some brands have only 2% of almonds, crazy!

is it the chicken or the egg?
as a naturopath, I am constantly thinking in my head what is the cause? the answer? most of the time there are a lot of answers.

This is an example of many people out there. Is it your sleep hygiene or your gut health or circadian rhythm misalignment or nervous system dysregulation?
Research shows phyla Bacteroidetes and Firmicutes were positively correlated with sleep efficiency by increasing (GABA), a neurotransmitter that promotes sleep. doi: 10.1371/journal.pone.0222394
This is to highlight the body is one whole cycle! We have the power to break and change that current cycle. Create a new one, a healthier one.
Is it a diet change? phone use stopping at 9pm? meditation right before bed? herbal tinctures?

These are my three favourite constipation tips
1. Epsom salt is essentially magnesium. This nutrient is the top nutrient for muscle contraction. If we are low in our stores, then the digestive tract will slowly stop contracting
2. Fibre is what creates our p**p formation. High fiber foods are kiwifruit, ground flaxseeds, quinoa, and beans.
3. Maybe your abdomen needs a little nudge, massaging your stomach in an anti-clockwise can stimulate movement.
These are just tools in your toolkit, however, this is not addressing the underlining reasoning for WHY you are constipated. That comes with the investigation.

Game change these three
1. Lemon stimulates HCL in the stomach which breaks down the food. We need food broken down!
2. Foods like kiwifruit, lemon, sauerkraut, ginger, pineapple, mangos, banana.
3. Chewing more decreases the workload of the stomach and therefore less chance of bloating and abdominal pain.
If we are improving digestion we are then increasing nutrient absorption and therefore ENERGY!

This is something I recently learned and I wanted to share with you.
Yes migraines can be triggered by tyramine foods (aged cheese, beer).
However, there is more to the case when there is symptoms associated with the digestive track.
A stool test for someone presenting with migraines can show:
High tyramine production
High bad bacteria = damaging digestive lining ->
High DNA in stool = inflammation
Inflamed gut = leaky gut = inflamed body = migraine
