Breen Construction
BREEN has a robust reputation that has been built up over decades.
We continue to evolve and expand, along with our portfolio & client base and strive to deliver exceptional construction methods and expertise, whilst remaining true to our founding values.
When a roof goes up, everything changes - and we're seeing it's also changing how young people see their future. Last week we hosted roof shouts at our TradeBase sites. Parents, school, partners, industry mentors and students came together to mark a real construction milestone.
For these students, reaching that milestone wasn't a classroom exercise, it was on-site, practical and public. They raised a roof on the buildings they crafted and for many they're also raising the roof on what they believe they're capable of - seeing real pathways for their future.
This is industry-led training in action. Practical, scalable vocational training that actually recruits and retains local talent where we need it most.
Congrats to these students. What an incredible achievement.
Our course we couldn't do it without our partners:

The Breen TradeBase students from Dunstan High School enjoyed a mini celebration yesterday - not only did the pass their framing inspection with flying colours, they're also well ahead of program. It was KFC and soda pop for these burgeoning tradies, while the llads from Grant Cooper Roofing got to securing the roofing iron.

The final home game for the year for our Highlanders boys, however, great to be going into the away game with a win!
Our last tee kid of the season, Blake McMurtrie, smashed it out of the park. He was all smiles. Thanks for being a champ and getting amongst the action.
A massive thanks to all our tee kids this year. We've loved watching all of you get out there and have the best time. An experience we hold close to our hearts.
Finally, the biggest appreciation for the Highlanders and their management team for another year of action.

Isaiah Davids and his family enjoying the Highlanders vs Brumbies game last Friday. Not the win we were all hoping for, but Isaiah loved getting out there and meeting all the players.
Thanks for being our tee kid!

Another proud project completed for Invercargill City Council at Miller Street, Southland.
Our commitment to community starts with our purpose - people. These six new units have been built to provide vulnerable and elderly residents with modern, warm, energy-efficient homes designed to support safer, healthier living.
A meaningful project to be part of, and one we’re proud to have delivered for the local community. Good work, Francois and the team down in Southland.

Even though Friday's result wasn’t what we'd hoped for, Lauren Walker, our wonderful tee-kid, was all smiles and enjoyed her time watching from the bench with her Dad, Boston.
She had a wicked time overall and even managed a few signatures from the players after the match. Thanks, Walker family, and our Highlanders!

Our tee kid for the Force game last weekend was none other than Archer Ireland! He got out there, had a blast and came away with some unreal memories.
And a win for the Highlanders - well done, boys.
Our first two tee-kids have kicked off the Highlanders season with applomb. Showing their skills and passion for the game - meet Daniel and Angus. Thanks, as always to the players and the coaching team for making this an exceptional experience.
When we were offered the chance to send a team of our people to the 2026 The International Builders' Show (IBS) in Orlando this month, we jumped at the chance.
Seeing what rest of the world is doing with materials, methodology and robotics is pretty special. The team who represented us included great humans from across our business - Annaliese Fox, Joshua Hardy, Jeremy Jenkins, Adam Tanner, Andrew Kerr and Tim Marshall. You came, you learned and you played. 👏
Thanks also to Southern Lakes ITM for once again hosting an incredible experience

Epic - well done to our Dunedin team on this Specialised Structures roof lift. A super tight site, high traffic and lots of pressure. Nailed it. https://youtu.be/MnegutH6yTE
