A hydroelectric power plant generates electricity by using the energy of flowing water.

Working Process:

1. Reservoir & Dam store water at a higher elevation.

2. Water enters through intake gates and flows into the penstock (large pipe).

3. High-pressure water spins the turbine.

4. The turbine drives the generator, producing electricity.

5. A transformer increases voltage for transmission through power lines.

6. Water exits through the draft tube and flows into the tailrace river channel.

7. The surge tank helps control pressure fluctuations in the penstock.

Key Components: Dam, Reservoir, Intake Gates, Penstock, Turbine, Generator, Draft Tube, Tailrace, Surge Tank, Transformer, and Power Lines.

Main Advantage: Clean, renewable, and environmentally friendly source of electricity. ⚡💧
