The Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Karnali Province, has published the draft of the "Bill to Make Provisions Regarding the Establishment and Operation of the Karnali Province Apple Development Board" and invites comments and suggestions from the general public.

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Karnali Provincial Assembly successfully organized a capacity enhancement workshop on “Public Accounts and Financial Governance” on Jestha 18–19, 2083.

The workshop, facilitated by former Secretary of the Federal Parliament (National Assembly) Dr. Surendra Aryal, reviewed strategies to reduce growing irregularities (beruju) in Karnali Province and assessed the implementation status of past committee directives.

This program was organized by PAC, in coodination with Parliament Support Project (PSP), PLGSP and Hriti Foundation.

The Karnali Province Government has been able to spend only 21.53% of its capital budget during the first ten months of the current fiscal year. In comparison, recurrent expenditure has reached 41.37% during the same period.

This raises serious concerns regarding the overall pace of budget implementation and the government’s capacity to utilize allocated resources effectively within the remaining two months of the fiscal year. The extent to which expenditure can accelerate before the fiscal year concludes remains an important concern.
