Nepal Picture Library (NPL) is a digital photo archive run by photo.circle that strives to document an inclusive history of the Nepali people by encouraging individuals and families to contribute their photographs and stories to the archive. Since its inception in 2011, the archive has collected over 50,000 photographs from different parts of Nepal.

The Public Life of Women - a Feminist Memory Project is now open at Ramlila Maidan, Nepalgunj!
This exhibition would not be possible without the efforts of independent journalist and researcher Nishu Joshi ji who joined the NPL as the local coordinator in Nepalgunj. We are also grateful to Mina Shrestha ji from Naari Bikas Kendra, Maimoona Siddiqui ji from Fatima Foundation Nepal and Librarian and Writer Sanat Regmi ji for joining us for the opening event at Naari Bikas Kendra today.

Nepal Picture Library (NPL) is seeking dedicated researchers to contribute to its Feminist Memory Project (FMP), an ambitious and wide-ranging initiative documenting the history and narratives of feminism in Nepal. We are particularly interested in expanding our archive to include the significant contributions of feminist NGOs in Nepal.
