And did you know this Dipawali (Lakshmi Puja) we were able to light up our houses with our own domestic electricity? And in fact, we were able to export some of it too while around 200 MW surplus energy produced remains unused.

Here is our coverage of major economic headlines from the last week i.e. from 13th March to 19th March!
We made a big fuss of the USD 500 Million grant from the Millennium Challenge Corporation and on the other hand accepting loan of USD 932 Million from Asian Development Bank (ADB) which is four times higher than the amount loaned to Nepal in 2021 by the ADB!
What is more surprising is the fact that the government has not been able to meet its spending targets and on the other hand taking such a large loan!
But why?
