A raging forest fire has been reported in the forest near the settlement of Nuwakot's Bidur Municipality Ward-12. The fire, which started on Thursday, is yet to come under control. The months of April and May are known to be prone to forest fires due to dry climates and lightning hazards, and sometimes, they are caused by people clearing the forest floors for new undergrowth for grazing.
