Chhath Parva, one of Nepal’s most sacred and ancient festivals, honors the Sun God (Surya) and Chhathi Maiya, the goddess of energy and life. Celebrated mainly in the Terai region, it symbolizes gratitude, purity, and balance with nature.

Devotees fast, stand in rivers at dawn and dusk, and offer arghya 🌞, thanking the Sun for sustaining all life. The ritual reflects the harmony between human and cosmic energy, light, and perseverance.

On Bhai Tika, sisters place seven-colored tika 🌈 on their brothers’ foreheads, praying for long life and happiness. Brothers offer gifts in return for a bond older than memory, renewed every year in light and affection.
