"Human Rights Watch" has said that excessive 'Force' was used during recent GenZ prot'est's in Nepal where many young people lost their lives. They have also asked PM Sushila Karki to look & investigate into September 8 & 9 incident properly as there could be involvement of groups other than GenZ, with their officials saying that it was a "Serious" human rights violation. Human Rights Nepal fanpage strongly condemns the violent crackdown on the Zen Z protest today. The shooting of unarmed citizens and the excessive use of force are not just violations of national law — they are crimes against humanity and a direct assault on Nepal’s democratic values.
Immediate suspension and accountability of officials responsible for ordering or carrying out the violence.
Unbiased and transparent investigation under independent supervision.
Urgent medical and legal support for all injured protesters and arbitrarily detained individuals.
Repression cannot silence the voice of a generation demanding justice and change. Nepal must not return to an era where bullets answer peaceful calls for reform."
