Aythos is a US-based NGO fostering health and sustainable livelihoods in rural Himalayan communities.
Aythos is a US-based NGO currently working in Nepal to bring Himalayan farmers the knowledge and resources to create economic opportunities in their villages. Aythos consults with villages and supports their ideas for development by sponsoring training and subsidizing start-up costs for agriculture projects. In 2014, the Apples for Peace project partnered with farmers in two villages to plant 3,000 apple and kiwi trees in the Helambu region of Nepal. It is currently also supporting beekeeping initiatives in other regions, as rural Nepalis use honey harvesting as a sweet way to bring revenue to their villages.

Updates from the road! After almost 30 straight hours on the road, our team has reached Dhunche. Unpaved roads, plus rain, plus heavy traffic is a bad combination, that resulted in terrible conditions, but the team is en route to Sanu Bharkhu and Thulo Barkhu, which is past Dhunche. There, the Aythos team will distribute materials to people in need.
