IRHDTC Nepal, ANMF, and Parsagadhi Municipality are working together to educate adolescent girls in Parsagadhi about important health topics like Early and Forced Marriage, Menstrual Hygiene, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). This includes sessions for Vision Child Club members in community schools, empowering girls with knowledge and skills for healthier lives and informed decisions.

Integrated Rural Health Development Training Center (IRHDTC) organized a two-day Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) orientation in Parsagadhi Municipality, engaging 106 students from 11 schools. Discussions on menstrual hygiene, safe s*x practices, and consent are breaking barriers and filling knowledge gaps!

Life Skill Training, held at Shri Rastriya Secondary School in Manwa and Barwa Chatauli, empowered 108 Vision Child Club members from Parsagadhi Municipality. We focused on vital skills like communication and decision-making, resulting in boosted confidence and improved problem-solving. Students engaged with great enthusiasm in the activities.

We are delighted to share the successful conclusion of our Vision Child Club training in Parsagadhi Municipality. In this two-day program, 108 students from 11 community schools immersed themselves in the VISION principles. Special gratitude to the students and dedicated focal teachers for their active engagement. Together, we're working towards positive change.

'𝐈 𝐀𝐦 𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝, 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞-𝐈𝐈' 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐢, 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞.
IRHDTC, in collaboration with ANMF, is coordinating with Parsagadhi municipality to implement a program dedicated to the empowerment of adolescent girls. A recent inception meeting convened key stakeholders, including the mayor, deputy mayor, school principals, the child network in Parsagadhi, and representatives from various relevant entities within the municipality and educational institutions. This initiative aligns with the overarching objectives of the "I am a child, not a Bride-II" campaign, emphasizing the commitment to the well-being and development of young girls in the community.

Integrated Rural Health Development Training Center (IRHDTC/Nepal) and Life Centre Vietnam has successfully accomplished the 3rd round of the Norec-Exchange Program which started from 2017. Norec-exchange is a mutual exchange of employees or members between organizations based in different countries. Norec stands for Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation.

Our Exchange participants (from IRHDTC and LIFE Centre Vietnam) are dealing with different aspects regarding female health: In Nepal they will contribute to improve the maternal health of poor rural women, and in Vietnam the participants will work on improving the reproductive health for female factory workers, prevention of HIV transmission among men having s*x with men, and care and support for people living with HIV.

Sujata Khadka, Pradeep Parajuli, Nhung Truong and Tram Nguyen from IRHDTC/Nepal and LIFE Centre Vietnam are currently participating in a week long Norec - Fredskorpset Exchange Preparatory Course-Part I Training in Bangkok Thailand. The purpose of the Part-I Training is to prepare the participants for the exchange. Sujata and Pradeep are going to Vietnam and Nhung and Tram will be in Nepal for one year.
