Work in progress

We’re building a solar drying house inspired by a greenhouse to help dry our handmade paper more efficiently using only the sun’s natural heat. By capturing and retaining warmth, we hope to reduce our dependence on weather while staying true to our commitment to sustainable production.

A small innovation, powered entirely by sunshine.

POV: The rain starts just as our handmade paper is drying. 🌧️🏃

We rely entirely on sunlight to dry our paper, so the sun is both our best friend and our biggest challenge. ☀️😅

Behind every sheet is a team working hard every day, committed to keeping our process natural and sustainable—whatever the weather.

Today we continued our 20-year tradition of sharing “छोरीलाई स्कुल पठाऔ” (Send Your Daughter to School) bags with children from marginalized communities around Budhanilkantha Municipality. What began as a fight against the old belief that daughters didn’t need education has grown into a reminder that inequality still exists—just in quieter ways.

Even now, girls are the first to be pulled out of school when money is tight. They miss classes due to menstrual restrictions, household responsibilities, and the cost of uniforms, shoes, and transport.

This campaign is our small effort to keep daughters in classrooms, encourage families to invest in their girls, and spark conversations that push our community forward. Every bag is a reminder: our daughters deserve equal opportunity, every single day.

Who says you need spoken words to communicate or a voice to achieve greatness?
Meet Sushil- he joined us over two decades ago as a producer, and today he leads, guides, and inspires our entire team.

He consistently excels in his work, supervises his colleagues, and even serves as the key bridge between the production team and management. And he does all of this without being able to hear or speak.

Sushil knows exactly what he wants and communicates it with clarity and confidence. He works with more than a hundred colleagues every day — and everyone understands him effortlessly.

His journey is a reminder that ability is limitless and true leadership needs no words.
We’re proud to have him on our team.

How do you even begin to say goodbye to a colleague of forty years?
Shova-ji walked into our team as a young producer, full of energy and promise. Over the decades, she didn’t just grow with us—she helped shape who we became. From serving as committee chairperson to guiding us as secretary, she carried every responsibility with grace, strength, and an unshakeable dedication.

And now, she leaves us as a powerful, inspiring woman—with a heart full of memories and a legacy we will cherish for years to come.

Goodbyes feel heavy, but they also mark new beginnings. We know Shova-ji will continue to shine wherever she goes, and we wish her all the courage, joy, and success in her next chapter. Her journey doesn’t end here—it simply moves forward.
