Mardi Himal Trek day 4-5.
The final push upwards today, as we disappear into the clouds on our way to High camp and the highest point of 4400m elevation.
Nudges birthday today and the poor thing only had enough energy to blow out 1 candle.
Early rise for Michael & I as we climbed another 2 hours to a lookout point with our guides. Weather closing in.

Mardi Himal trek days 2 & 3.
By day 2 we were all sick as dogs with the flu, making climbing a mountain even harder. Despite this we soldiered on up past the villages and into the forest part of the trail. We marveled at the scenery and the ingenuity involved in creating this stone pathway all the way up this mountain ridge. Day 3 we rise above the tree line to a lower base camp with 360% views…..amazing sight.

This country is amazing. The gods threw every form of weather at us, however despite this we had an unforgettable experience.

Nothing like going for a day hike in the jungles of Malaysia, especially when it’s in the centre of the city. Amazing day exploring the treetop walk and numerous hikes within the K.L Eco forest.

Our good friends are traveling in Europe and are trusting us with their children. Say hello to Simba & Tilly, 1 year old sisters.

Well those little Koalas we hand out on our travels have done it again. The 4 cabin crew on our Alaskan airlines flight from San Francisco to Honolulu were so happy that we received free alcohol and food for the entire trip.
Our faith in humanity has been restored….
