Meet the fifth batch of Youth Champions, passionate young advocates from Birgunj working to create awareness, break stigma, and promote access to safe abortion and bodily autonomy for young people in their communities.

Through the Youth Access project, these youth leaders are engaging with stakeholders, spreading awareness of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), and encouraging informed choices and reproductive rights for all.

Change begins when young people raise their voices for dignity, choice, and access.

A public apology can be more than words; it can be a step toward acknowledging generations of injustice.

Nepal’s recent decision to apologize to the Dalit community opens an important conversation about accountability, dignity, and the role of governments in addressing historical discrimination. Around the world, countries like New Zealand, USA have shown that recognizing past wrongs can become the first step toward healing.

But the real question is: Can an apology lead to meaningful change?

Nepal’s parliamentary journey tells the story of a nation constantly evolving. 🇳🇵

From democratic movements that challenged old systems to the establishment of a Federal Parliament under the 2015 Constitution, each political phase has shaped how the country is governed. From monarchy to the Panchayat era, constitutional monarchy to a Federal Democratic Republic, every transition has carried lessons in reform and inclusion.

Today, the Federal Parliament stands as a symbol of democracy, representing people’s voices, shaping laws, and holding leadership accountable.

By understanding this journey, we can better appreciate how far Nepal has come, and how much more remains to be achieved.

3 days. 1 purpose. 1 powerful new batch of youth voices.

From understanding consent and boundaries to learning about sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and safe abortion services, YUWA’s 5th Batch of Youth Champions spent three days building the knowledge and confidence to create change in their communities.

Over the next 5 months, these young champions will lead school sessions and community outreach in Birgunj Metropolitan City, helping more young people make informed choices about their bodies and their futures.

Here’s to youth leading with courage, knowledge, and action.
