Base Isolation
Base isolators are the special arrangement of the lead bearing plates at the core and rubber layers at the outer core for energy dissipation that isolates foundation part of the building with its superstructure.
In base isolated buildings, mode of vibration of building will be dominated by a rigid body motion that drastically reduces the stresses in its structural components.
