Himalayan Quests

On 7 June, ‘Full Circle: The First All Black Everest Ascent’ celebrated its World Premiere at the Tribeca Festival in New York.

It was an honour to be part of this historic journey and to witness history in the making on the world’s highest mountain.

Sincere thanks to Phil Henderson Philip Henderson the expedition leader and the man behind Full Circle for the opportunity, his vision and the years of dedication he invested in making this expedition and the documentary a reality. Also thanks to Conrad Anker Conrad Anker for being our mentor and supporting this expedition through KCC.

What the Full Circle team achieved on Everest in 2022 was far bigger than a summit, it was a milestone for representation, inclusion and inspiration.

Standing on the highest mountain on Earth and seeing the world from the top of the world was a humbling experience. To have shared this journey alongside such an inspiring team is something I will always be grateful for.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this remarkable journey.

Throwback to the year when Himalayan Quests Foundation (HQF) was just being born. We're grateful for every project we could help build, every community we could support and every life we've been fortunate enough to touch along the way.

Looking back at these early days fills us with gratitude. Looking ahead fills us with purpose.

The Rolwaling Valley is tucked between two impressive mountain ranges: the Gaurishankar Himal, and the Rolwaling Himal.The Rolwaling Himal includes Melungtse (7181m) and Melungtse II (7023m) - both of them can be seen from Menlung La - on the Tibetan side, and the Gaurishankar Himal includes Gaurishankar (7134m) on the Nepali side with some additional peaks over 6000m. The Labuche Himal section rises beyond the Tamakosi to the northwest.
The first western exploration of the area was made by the British in the 50's during the reconnaissance of Mount Everest.

We often know what the right thing to do is. But taking the time to talk about it, reflect on it, and learn from one another helps turn that knowledge into action.💚

That's what our sustainability training was about.
From protecting the environment and preserving culture to supporting communities and safeguarding vulnerable people, we explored how the choices we make every day shape the impact tourism has on the world around us.🌿

The day ended with each participant making a personal sustainability promise; a reminder that meaningful change starts with individual action.🤍

Knowing is important. Practising is what makes the difference.🌱

We are grateful for every traveller who trusted us with their time in Nepal this season, from remote Himalayan valleys to the wild jungles of Chitwan and Bardiya. Reading experiences like these reminds us why we do what we do.
