HHRD USA/Nepal has successfully completed the distribution of winterization packages across Kathmandu, Siraha, Kapilvastu, Sarlahi & Mahottari. From blankets to jackets, sweaters, woolen socks, caps, shawls, and mufflers; a total of 676 OSP Stars received essential winter support to stay warm and protected during the cold season.
Our team was humbled by the heartfelt gratitude expressed by the mothers and guardians, whose encouragement motivates us to continue serving with dedication.
Together, we’re making winters a little warmer for our children

HHRD USA/Nepal has successfully completed the fourth and final phase of the 2025 Food Package Distribution across Kapilvastu, Sarlahi, and Mahottari. A total of 100 OSP Stars in Mahottari, 190 in Kapilvastu, and 99 in Sarlahi received their food packages.
In addition, the final installment of Financial Support for 2025 was transferred directly to the bank accounts of all OSP Stars. These efforts aim to strengthen both the nutritional and educational well-being of the children while providing essential support to their families especially the mothers.

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, HHRD Nepal organized an interactive awareness session in Jhapa, engaging around 40 participants, including OSP Stars, focal teachers, and students from nearby schools.
The session aimed to promote understanding and open dialogue around mental well-being a topic often overlooked but essential for personal growth and happiness.
Through interactive discussions, activities, and storytelling, participants explored the importance of emotional balance, self-care, empathy, and stress management. They learned that mental health is just as important as physical health, and that expressing feelings, seeking help, and supporting others are signs of strength and awareness.
To honor their participation and commitment, all attendees received certificates of participation, recognizing their eagerness to learn and grow.

The OSP Stars in Kapilvastu had a memorable and enriching educational tour to Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha.
During their visit, the students explored Nepal’s rich historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage. In addition to visiting significant landmarks, they enjoyed boating and nature walks, offering them a refreshing connection with the environment.
These activities helped the students learn about teamwork, cooperation, and responsibility toward nature and heritage preservation. The experience not only deepened their understanding of history and culture but also encouraged curiosity, empathy, and unity among them, blending learning with adventure for a truly meaningful educational journey.

HHRD Nepal successfully completed the fourth and final phase of the 2025 Food Package Distribution Drive (Drive IV), benefiting 150 OSP Stars in Kathmandu and 100 OSP Stars in Jhapa. Along with this, the OSP Stars also received their final installment of Financial Support for 2025, which was directly transferred to their bank accounts.
This initiative continues to strengthen the nutritional and educational well-being of our OSP Stars while providing essential relief to their families, especially to the mothers who play a vital role in supporting their children’s growth and learning.

HHRD Nepal celebrated International Literacy Day across Kapilvastu, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Siraha, and Jhapa, promoting learning beyond the classroom.
Activities included a Hifz & Qirat Competition in Kapilvastu, Handwriting Competition in Mahottari, Quiz Competition in Sarlahi, Speech Competition in Siraha, and a Creative Learning Session in Jhapa.
These initiatives encouraged children to explore their talents, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful learning experiences beyond their daily studies.

HHRD Nepal organized Free Medical Camps in Siraha, Mahottari, and Sarlahi, providing general check-ups, specialist consultations, free medicines, and treatments for cataract and uterine prolapse patients.
Over 2,800 people from marginalized communities benefited, gaining access to essential healthcare and awareness on preventive health practices.

HHRD USA/Nepal has distributed free wheelchairs to physically disabled people in Nepal under the Comprehensive Physical Rehabilitation Program (CPRP).
This program aims to improve the mobility, independence, and overall quality of life for disabled individuals. By providing free wheelchairs, it removed physical barriers, enabling recipients to access education, healthcare, employment, and social activities. This effort promotes dignity, respect, and economic empowerment, allowing disabled persons to participate more fully in society.

The event was graced by local government representatives, institute management committee members, teachers, students, and community members.
A Sanitation & Hygiene Awareness session was also conducted, reinforcing our commitment to clean water and healthy communities.

Under the SDLP Program, a 390-hour Japanese Language Course was successfully completed in Jhapa, Nepal. A certification ceremony was held in the presence of the Consultancy President, team members, and the course trainer. A total of 14 participants graduated from the program, each receiving a certificate of achievement. This initiative has equipped the graduates with essential language skills, opening pathways for further opportunities in education and employment.
