Machhapuchhre (also called “Fishtail Mountain”) is considered a holy mountain in Nepal.

It holds deep religious significance, especially in Hindu belief, where it is regarded as the sacred abode of Lord Shiva. Because of this spiritual importance, the mountain is officially off-limits for climbing.

In fact, although a British expedition led by Jimmy Roberts attempted it in 1957, they stopped short of the summit out of respect for local beliefs. Since then, the Government of Nepal has never permitted summit expeditions on Machhapuchhre.

So unlike many Himalayan peaks, its holiness is preserved through:

* Religious reverence
* Cultural respect from local communities
* Legal protection (no climbing allowed)

It’s a rare example where nature, religion, and policy all align to keep a mountain untouched.

Totally worth the journey!

A mountain lover whose dream reaches beyond the peaks — undeterred by the frozen silence, yet forever thirsty for the magic of those stupendous, crystallized mountains. No doubt, Winter welcomes them.

I'm not familiar with the name of this flower, but it's truly beautiful! Nature offers such a diverse array of flora.
